Which inhalers does the DIAL simulate ?

This depends on the version of the In-Check DIAL that is being used. The various inhalers are identified by engravings that appear on the top surface of the white "collar", which then correlate with the Optimum Flow range on either the scale or the accompanying laminated card.

Generally, the most common inhalers are featured; it is still possible to use the In-Check DIAL even if a specific inhaler is not featured - a resistance adapter similar to those used in the In-Check Inhaler Assessment Kit can be inserted when the meter is set to "Freeflow", which allows the meter to measure inspiratory flows as if someone was using this specific device.
