Mucus Clearance

Mucus secretion and clearance are extremely important for airway integrity and pulmonary defence.

If trapped mucus is not cleared, it makes breathing difficult and if allowed to build up, it leads to infection and damage to the lungs.

Among the various conditions in which it has a role, the Flutter is also suitable for Bronchiectcisis. Bronchiectasis is a permanent abnormal widening in one or more of the airways. Mucus tends to form and pool in parts of the airways that are widened, resulting in discomfort and potential infection.
